As simple as Pizza Tower's story is, that does not make it any less effective. It has one of the most satisfying endings in vidya and probably mogs most moviegames in that regard.

Everything else, like getting all the cages, grabbing the janny and doing a lap 2, comes naturally along the pathing for most levels. You don't need to do everything in one combo to get an S rank, you just need to get 1 or 2 decent combos. P rank is when it's all done in one combo. Nobody is making you get an S rank or a P rank, nothing is being kept from you, no content is being locked away behind them. That's a great thing about Pizza Tower, anyone can do all of it. You can't fail a level except by running out of time during pizza time which you would have to do on purpose, and the boss fights are generous with health replenishment. If you are bothered by your own rank that's entirely on yourself. It's entirely your own decision if you have the drive to improve and get better, and the ranks scale perfectly. If you got a C, nobody is making you get a B, but you really don't have to do much more. Same for A from a B. If you got an A, nobody is making you get an S, but you really just have to have make sure you grab everything. If you got an S, nobody is making you get a P, but you really just have to do it all in one combo, as there's nothing left to do at this point to improve on the S. It's entirely up to you where you feel you're not interested in going further.

If you ever come back to it, know that there's actually room for several mistakes in a P rank run, you can take damage and mess up a jump and kill an enemy by accident you were supposed to let transform you, and still keep your combo. But probably best to just leave the game behind for now.
