I have a problem with the introduction of black characters in world of warcraft. Not because i'm racist, or I don't want black people in my games, but it's the fact that it feels extremely out of place given the past of the game. Let me explain:

For more than 9 years and many expansions later, black people weren't very present in world of warcraft. Then relatively recently, over night, not only are there black people wandering around stormwind, but characters are retcon'd into being black (Some of the merchants, the orphanage lady, etc). This broke the immersion of the human faction. Where did they come from? Why did they suddenly arrive? Why did some of the characters suddenly turn black?

By all means, introduce black people into my MMORPG. However, give me a reason on why they arrived. Were they from Tanaris, stranglethorn vale, etc, and decided "we're part of the alliance now"? And Faerin lothar, where the fuck did SHE come from?

The Midnight cinematic was a massive downgrade from The War Within's technically. In fact it was well below the last number of expansions cinematic wise, I don't know if they changed studios or what but the drop in CG quality was blatant. Not everyone liked the dramatic focus of TWW's cinematic, but from a composition and rendering standpoint it was exemplary, the Midnight one seemed so aimless and muddy in comparison.
