Depends what you mean by fail.Commercially? No fucking way. People are pre-ordering it by the masses no matter what.Culturally? Yeah there is a possibility the normalfags that make up GTA's core audience are going to be bothered by the company rockstar has become. I gave RDR2 a shot recently and it was amazing how much the game didn't seem to want me to just enjoy the open world it was advertised as being. I really started to see what people meant by the game becoming obsessed with boring as fuck scripted missions. If GTA 6 has a strong dosage of that, combined with handling the DEI-ness of the female protag with the kind of subtlety it does in the writing of RDR2. Yeah there's going to be a fair bit of shit said about the game in the long run.Not until after it already sells shit loads of course.
