Anyone remember when cartoon network put on Wulin Warriors? Probably the most embarrassing thing I have ever seen.

Actually any Nitro+ eroge would work well as an action game. They already made a AC-like with mecha musume lolis, I hope they start making more in that vein.

Reminds me I need to finish S3 and 4. I started 3 and clocked out since it felt like there were less and less fun moments like this or the part in 2 where guitar guy kills a dragon by playing the theme song
>>
How about a wuxia RPG where your character is a doll, upgrades and debuffs affect the strings which move it

I like the sandboxy ones like Scroll of Taiwu.

Season 3 is tied with season 1 in terms of pure kino. You really need to watch it. Season 4 is clearly kind of rushed sadly. Same with the movie. But they both still have some excellent moments.

I once asked an anon what OP pic was about and the enthusiasm he poured in his description was contagious. It's nice to see people being genuinely passionate about something, it's a cure for the soul. I might give this series another shot since I'm in a different headspace now

Nothing. Wuxia sucks. TBF is only good because it's the based Japanese take on it. Japan makes any setting good.
>>
>>730607760
wuxia does have wandering swordsmen, assassins, nuns and (sometimes) demons though

There's a lot to like about Wandering Sword but holy shit the game's balance is completely fucked, on higher difficulties any battle where you're made to use guest characters is an RNG shitfest.
>>
>>730619949
On normal difficulties I never ran into problems as long as I kept people geared
On extreme though yeah if you don't inherit bullshit cultivation methods (namely the cult red one) your party members fucking suck
>>
>>730619949
I found that for Wandering Sword the general solution was to kill yourself repeatedly, in order to inherit more and more shit on NG+.
>>
>>730619949
Worst part is that you have to follow guides to finish billion plots, otherwise you're extremely behind in power or don't get the story
>>
>>730620554
Or just substitute most of it with raw completionist autism and check on every fucking thing every time you progress the game while cycling saves.

>>
>>730620554
At first it's not really a problem but later on the amount of stuff you can miss of you don't look at a guide is ridiculous.
You didn't do that one side quest for a companion that's instantly forgotten early? Well now you are locked into the bad ending and incomplete version of of all the secondary plots in the game. And that's just one example.

>Didn't care for Where Winds Meet after a few hours, maybe I should have played more
You luckily got out early. After putting eighty hours into it before dropping, WWM was probably my least favorite Chinese action game in the past few years among all the Wukongchangs. The janky pseudo MMO nature of the game was the best part, and they've removed all the really funny encounters like coming across Dark Soul floor messages that autoplay custom ear rape audio of cat songs. The gameplay on Legend difficulty sucked compared to other similar parry heavy games, and it was necessary to spoil your boss encounters using practice mode or you'd be often instantly deleted by a new attack string with slightly altered parry timing in later phases. Players also for some godforsaken reason got worse the more I leveled, so doing each weekly multiplayer boss encounter became increasingly painful

The game also left me with a very unpleasant feeling that I haven't had in years that I was only there to be an audience for flexing whales. $40,000 USD party ship aside, even just lighting fireworks at the weekly firework festival event required bidding against other players using premium currency. Combined with the abhorrent, hidden gacha rates, WWM is the most greedy game I've touched in eons without any aspect good enough to justify playing
