i respecced from pure dex to arcane and switched to rivers of blood, add to this mimic tear which will also spam corpse pliers you'll shred just about anything in seconds, Malenia didn't have time to do anything at all kek

Belurat is amazing, but the open world makes it such a slog that by the time I get to each legacy dungeon I can't be bothered doing it. I think the main issue you have regarding persistence at Farum Azula is that you've just done Mountaintops and Snowfields which are the worst areas in the game.

Even so, going from Leyndell to Mountaintops is a slog and the difficulty spike is maintained thereafter. So even if you skip Snowfield it's still shit.They should have cut Snowfield, gave Mountaintops the population density of Snowfield (straight run to the fire giant), had the Haligtree as its dungeon, and had Morgott as the final pre-Erdtree boss.

The one under Stormveil is great, but by the time you get to Haligtree rot swamp I'm sick of them. I also think it depends on build. I played faith and dreaded knight enemies and ulcerated spirits because of their pressure, but playing strength they're trivial.
