In retrospect backing the Legion really is the most moral choice in NV. The NCR can't hold territory and aren't interested in protecting people. House only cares about the strip. Yes Man is just a Redditor power fantasy. The legion actually has a plan for the future, a strong leader, and the ability to create a stable society long term.
>>730615171fuck society, society blew up the planetanarchy is preferable to the legion's bullshit and I will continue murdering their members on sight
>>730615386Heck yeah xister! Fuck stability and morality. Go out there and commit crime!!!!!
>>730615171>The legion actually has a plan for the futureA shit plan that sucks for everyone involved>a strong leaderThat is a cunt who brings misery wherever he goes>and the ability to create a stable society long termThe long term will suck shit. It lasting for a long time doesn't change the fact it will suck shit. The Legion is all just a bunch LARPing raiders. I will treat them like raiders deserve.
>>730615626the legion is far and away the most homoerotic faction and it's not even close
>>730615626
>>730615171>Yes Man is just a Redditor power fantasy. The Independent* ending is just that, independence for every community in the Mojave. The Courier doesn't rule over the Mojave, at most he just takes House's place as the governor of the Strip, that's it. It's designed as being the closest thing to an anarchist ending because Joshua Sawyer himself is an anarchist.
Already wrong on the first point Vegas is a frontier territory. It's like judging the Legion based on the war camps you see. Both are dishonest. The NCR is so boring and safe that people are heading out to new areas for work because there's nothing to do in California proper but work a caravan or a farmstead. House's plan relies on this he wants all of the frontier folk spending their money at his city.
>>730615171You literally fix all of the NCRs problems if you do every quest with every possible outcome. Doing every quest with every positive outcome for Cesaer doesn't change the fact that he's a retarded old man larping as a roman emperor who's gonna die one day, brain tumor or not
>>730615171>The NCR can't hold territoryNeither can the Legion. Once they get too big to impose their authority on every area they've conquered they'll start falling apart too.>The legion actually has a plan for the futureCaesar has a theory he needs to prove and part of that theory involves his own failures showing what endures and what dies.
>>730617364>Once they get too big to impose their authority on every area they've conquered they'll start falling apart too. You're assuming Legion land is like NCR land. Caesar conquered 87 tribes just to grow his army, the east is not valuable to him whatsoever, only the people there, which he has already taken. Vegas and California is infinitely more valuable and Caesar would gladly abandon the east if it meant all of California.>Caesar has a theory he needs to prove and part of that theory involves his own failures showing what endures and what dies.I don't really know what this is meant to disprove, Caesar tells you that conquering California will mean an infusion of Californian values into the Legion. Caesar already tells you what he imagines this will look like though, a powerful, stable empire that can protect its citizens and cut through all the bullshit bureaucracy that the NCR is struggling with. Caesar sees himself as our Julius Caesar, he sees himself as the savior of the NCR (if he wins he's not going to form "The Imperium" or some other shit it'll likely be called the New California Empire or something similar)
I sure love living in tents fighting with spears and sticks for some edgelords. If being an African tribesman was morally correct, I'd still prefer to be a europoor with potable tap water.
>>730617768>the east is not valuable to him whatsoever, only the people thereWhich brings up the issue of logistics. How do they keep everyone fed? Are they going to take over infrastructure built for half the people they've conquered and somehow make enough for everyone?>Caesar tells you that conquering California will mean an infusion of Californian values into the LegionThat makes no sense. The NCR was weak, we beat them so we'll adopt their mentality?>a powerful, stable empire that can protect its citizensRead the first point in this post and you'll see why that's a ridiculous claim
>>730617768Well then he's fucking retarded. Taking Vegas will embolden the Legion to take more. What empire has conquered an enormous pile of resources when there's more out there to take and decided "actually, I'm going to stop now, it's clearly not working anymore." >Caesar already tells you what he imagines this will look like though, a powerful, stable empire that can protect its citizens and cut through all the bullshit bureaucracy that the NCR is struggling withThis is even more retarded. Every society needs bureaucracy. He may think he doesn't, but that's because he's a tribal retard leading other tribal retards in a loose alliance held together by his force of will. Anything more complex will require bureaucracy. Technology will require factories, fucking around with currency, supply lines that are enormously complex that buraucracy will need to manage. "Cutting through the bureaucracy" is the stupidest most nonsensical slogan I could imagine.
>>730617020>*yawn* this stable thriving society is so boring>yeah, the ncr sucks!Humans are a disease.
>>730618167>Which brings up the issue of logistics. How do they keep everyone fed? It's a roaming army comprised of tribals with deep experience in wilderness survival. Legionaries know how to live off of the land and to scavenge, and the freemen of the Legion likely pay tithes in the form of food to the Legion. With the annexation of California, the Legion will absorb the infrastructure built by the republic, this is what Caesar is talking about.>That makes no sense. The NCR was weak, we beat them so we'll adopt their mentality? You're a fucking retard. You clearly haven't played the game and are likely brown. Caesar says to you that he will take the good from the NCR and ditch the bad. >>730618359>Taking Vegas will embolden the Legion to take more.Doesn't contradict what I said at all and proves you're functionally illiterate.>Every society needs bureaucracy. Not what I said either. The NCR's bureaucracy prevents them from adequately resisting the Legion. The entire country has been cucked by rich people and overly complicated processes. Caesar isn't saying to get rid of all of this, but if and when the time comes and they get in the way, the dictator can cut through that bullshit and make immediate executive decisions, unlike the NCR who has to tangle with their "democracy".
>>730619403>It's a roaming army comprised of tribals with deep experience in wilderness survival. Legionaries know how to live off of the land and to scavengeSo why would they ever convert to the NCR way of living/thinking when Caesar is saying they're weak and dumb?>With the annexation of California, the Legion will absorb the infrastructure built by the republicAnd have to house twice the amount of people it was built for. Or are the former NCR folks going to keep their property while the loyal Legionaire continues to live like a roaming army of tribals and become have-nots?>Caesar says to you that he will take the good from the NCR and ditch the bad.Everything the NCR has is better than what the Legion does. Caesar is essentially setting mankind backwards a decade because he wants to be in charge and eventually things will simply go back to how it was for the NCR.
>>730619961Yeah this is all just retarded rambling from a brownskin. Enjoy the last (You)
>>730617768There are numerous cities like Goodsprings and Primm that would be in Legion territory and its people left alone. As long as you're not a tribal or raider
>>730620364>couldn't refute anything>"y-you're brown!!"every time
>>730620617Primm gets wiped out in most endings unless you hand it over to the NCR (which is weird on a legion run)Goodsprings gets left alone which checks out, they have clean water and grow their own food which the Legion would happily take as a tithe.
>>730619403>the dictator can cut through that bullshit and make immediate executive decisionslike setting your best general on fire and replacing him with a guy who gets gaslit into running away because of basic logistics
>>730620848>setting your best general on fireGraham was a retard and had to be made an example of.>who gets gaslit into running away because of basic logisticsWhich happens after the NCR/Securitrons overrun Fortification Hill (which means Caesar is dead and the Legion is in shambles) and you can convince him to cut his losses and retreat instead of dying too.
Reddit hates the Legion therefore they are the correct choice
>>730617170>NCRsoyGo back nigger
>>730620931>Graham was a retard and had to be made an example ofSo what happens to Lanius when he retreats without even fighting?>you can convince him to cut his lossesSo now the Legion has been defeated twice at Hoover Dam and their scary boogeyman Legate Lanius ran away tail tucked between his legs without even fighting. Surely the Legion recovers from that, right?
>>730621362>So what happens to Lanius when he retreats without even fighting? He doesn't die, because Caesar dies you dumb retard.>So now the Legion has been defeated twice at Hoover Dam and their scary boogeyman Legate Lanius ran away tail tucked between his legs without even fighting. Surely the Legion recovers from that, right?I don't even know what this is meant to be an argument against.Everything you've said is just retarded sperging and you've completely lost the plot. This is the last (You)
>>730615171Why can't the Courier just take over for Caesar when he dies anyway? You know, like the real Caesar did by setting up Augustus as a heir
>>730622016He can, and it's likely what happens seeing as he puts your face on the currency.
>>730621625>He doesn't dieSo in the end the Legion is in shambles and lays on the shoulders of a man who would not fight despite his terrifying reputation>I don't even know what this is meant to be an argument againstThink about what the Legion is supposed to represent and the repercussions of what happens if they fail at the second battle at Hoover Dam. It's almost as if they were a terribly written faction represented by the most basic of concepts and not given much depth. >This is the last (You)Funny how people always say stuff like that when they're backed into a corner of a debate
Sorry, but Yes Man is fun, so I will go for that route
>>730615171I only side with the Legion when I'm playing as a Female Courier.
>>730615171Humanity failed with the only one chance they had.Let them be fuck forever.
>>730615171Duh, the devs had to try real hard to make people not want to join them and it failed, just like the enclave.
>>730616493
>>730622016>>730622081https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Eqt6GwcsJw
>>730624223It makes sense. Caesar himself is an "outsider" (born in Californian, raised with Californian values) while everyone else in the Legion was raised within the Legion. The Courier was not, and so Caesar may also want another "outsider" to take charge. If there was no Courier though Lucius would definitely be the best choice.
