If you can afford the space and don't constantly use it on the move for full power gaming, don't bother - get a desktop instead. If you do get one, at least get something that can be upgraded and is modular like a Framework.

I've had mine since 2019 I think. The most demanding games I've played are Resident Evil 4 Remake and Elden Ring, both running perfectly fine at max settings. You do have to wear headphones or you can't hear a thing over the laptop fans.
You should only get a laptop if you actually need a mobile PC, otherwise get a desktop. Desktops are cheaper and have a far lower probability of hardware failures and in case one happens, you can easily replace the broken part
Why don't laptops have side vents anymore? They're all on the bottom, making it a very bad idea to actually put it anywhere near your lap.

If I really crank the visuals up on a modern game like CP2077 then I can hit 80C sure, but modern laptops are designed for up to 100C without issue. Last time I played CP2077 I had the settings tweaked (aka not unlimited range max pixel shadows) and it never hit 70C.

I've been on gayming laptops only since 2011.The times I moved from place to place, went to stay with family or friends across countries and other stuff made it really useful to just take your laptop bag and have your station on you at all times when I needed it. I remember the times carrying a whole fucking station in a suitcase to a LAN party across country. Never again. My best friends still visit me the same way they did back in 2007 with their rigs and monitors in their cars and all of us carrying that stuff in and out when they leave.I prefer to be able to pick my device up quickly and leave anytime I want.
