Crazy how long ago morrowind was released, and how much "content" was in it. I get the memes "dunking" on gameplay, and the "uncs" that love it. But in 2002-2004 the game really was/is amazing. In the the days of using askjeeves, cc cheats, and using the pamphlets provided. Its just an experience that can't and won't be recreated. They gave you a giant printed out map of the world and you actually used it to to figure out your location in game. That entire experience/ wonder for gaming is now locked in a certain point of history that can't be recreated

And figuring out how much stronger I was and being excited by that and then becoming annoyed I couldn't be in daylight, talk to NPCs, or so much. At that point I had already saved so much kid brain couldnt find/figure out the save before i got it. Since loading a save file on the xbox would take 2-100 minutes each, I gave up and tried again. I remember trying to search for cures on the web but it just didn't work like that back then. So your just stuck with your choices lol. One of my favorite things was being "rewarded" for looking around, or in things. Or picking up a bed pillow and finding a key under it. It seems somewhat basic for todays games, but going into the suran guard tower and seeing the blade of woe randomly under the bed and trying to steal it was great. You open all containers, boxes, check rooms and out of way areas in games now and it seems there is nothing to find or care about.

I was swimming around the coast, looking for clam shells that might have pearls and ship wrecks. At the time I recently found one with ebony ore and wanted to find more.
