If you want to prepare for modded Hytale survival (Simon stated that some of the most downloaded mods might be survival mods), you might want to play Better Than Wolves, Vintage Story, or Terrafirmacraft.

Rimworld had something called Real Ruins and when you generated your world the mod would download other bases from the same seed and you could find those ruins on the world maps and they were sometimes even loaded with loot.
