I'd see constant reposts of an image of her official render with the text GOO GOO GA GA I TALK LIKE A RETARDED BABY. But that was nearly 20 years ago now, so I guess the people who liked that sort of thing grew up. To this day I don't get the appeal, she's a weird malformed creature... but I dropped TP by the time I hit Kakariko since I just never find that style of Zelda game fun.

Hyrule Warriors and TPHD (2014-2016) came along at the PERFECT times to give her a renaissance of interest, since that's about when shortstacks really took off. While it's not like art for her totally stopped after TP, it definitely dried up quite a bit between 2008ish and 2014. now I need Nintendo to do something similar for Hariet from Super Mario Odyssey goddammit, I hate how they immediately neglected everything new from that game in favor of focusing on the DK Arcade related shit just to artificially make Bananza an SMO callback/prequel
