He went from having a literal Mickey Mouse color scheme to the most boring soulless mixture of grey and black with the tiniest ounce of red and yellow. His design doesn't pop anymore. It's a stale uninspired colorless downgrade in every single possible aspect. It's not the fucking models. I feel the same exact away about his ugly ass in the newest game too. You can update a character design and make him older WHILE keeping the iconic aspects of the character intact. I hate drastic changes in visual design when it comes to established characters with a distinct look. I especially hate it when colorful characters lose color and is replaced with a more dull colors. It's just plain ugly.
