It's a stale uninspired colorless downgrade in every single possible aspect. It's not the fucking models. I feel the same exact away about his ugly ass in the newest game too. You can update a character design and make him older WHILE keeping the iconic aspects of the character intact. I hate drastic changes in visual design when it comes to established characters with a distinct look. I especially hate it when colorful characters lose color and is replaced with a more dull colors. Tons of useless triangle and hexagonal shapes all over the place, when the OG's environment design was far more clean. Obviously technological restrictions were a factor, but I definitely feel they could have been adapted in a more faithful way. I just ended up playing with OG graphics because it was just so much more clean looking.
