The awful sound is not the only problem, the graphics of the game are all wrong because they dialed the brightness to the max to compensate for the GBA lack of backlight.
FF5 is fine, but far from the best.

The system is a bit weird at the start because, say, you cannot just buy a gun and have your machinist equip it instantly, they have to unlock the corresponding license, along with all the required steps to reach it on the license board. The cool part is that there aren't only one or two paths like a skill tree, you can unlock any adjacent tile to the ones you already got on the board.Oh also, you have to buy spells/techs too, unlocking license isn't enough so you don't get to cheese the game by going for all the strongest stuff at the start.
