>>730650678The problem with those attempts is that despite bringing in new stuff, it came at the cost of losing out on so much of the old that it didn't feel worth it. W.M.D. came the closest but it still lacks features Armageddon has, if it had included everything then it would have become the official new Worms game to play above all else.
I want a modern worms game with a 2D art style, all weapons from every game, the water physics stuff from Revolution, and the building cover stuff from WMD. The vehicles and crafting I can take or leave.

All W.M.D. needed to become the defacto Words game was to take everything from Armageddon and put it in the game.I really don't get it, how hard is it to just take a previous entry in your own series and add everything it had into your next one? W.M.D. would have obsoleted all previous games if it did that.
