Not really
I miss Timesplitters
>>
>>730647906
Why don't you play it? It's available on playstation.
>>
Couch coop is not profitable, because it doesn't force people to pay for a network subscription, so the concept was memoryholed

you are now hearing anaconda manually

the bond's the name. james name.
>>
speaking of couch coop, why is there now splitscreen anymore? most couch coop screens are just "one big screen" and you can't stray too far from P1 or shit like that. And don't give me "muh it takes too much power!", we had this when consoles were even weaker
>>
>>730647653
no, because they want people to own additional consoles, additional copies and additional subscription services. profits must go up infinitely.
>>
>>730647653
No, and it's for a reason.
>2+ people playing a single copy of a game on a single console
vs
>2+ people playing 2+ copies of a game on 2+ consoles
$$$

The TT Lego games are one of the few exceptions that comes to mind. I don't remember many good co-op games after the seventh gen, and even then, co-op would range from solid (Resistance: Fall of Man) to a waste of time (Super Mario Galaxy).

>otherwise perfect fake
The controller is uncannily too small and anyone who has ever held an n64 controller would tell instantly that's fake.
>>
>>730647653
>Is couch co-op design still a thing outside of indies?
No, for a few reasons..

Playing a game locally is harder to mine your data from, they'd rather sell more copies than having you share, and the big one is optimizing games on one screen is too difficult for them let alone 4.
>>
>>730647653
No there's literally 0 reason to do when it has online. It was a thing back when internet was slow / some people only had a PS2. Also some indies are cheap to implement online coop (Cuphead).
>>
>>730651258
>Confirmed to have actually never held an N64 controller at least since you were a child
No, they are actually pretty small and cramped.
>>
>>730652085
Like there's no reason to go outside because you can work from home and order food? No reason to have a life if you could just kill yourself. Your logic sucks.
