I wonder if the character design retoolings from Mario Kart World will become standardized this generation or if they're going to be one-offs, because their official art models are still using older Switch era models (except for DK). I hope they do, since MKW's retools took stronger cues from 2D art.
I hated it at first, but it's grown on me over time. I still prefer Rare's design, but I'm fine with DK looking like this for the foreseeable future. I will say though, the design looks a lot better in 2D art than 3D models or renders in my opinion.
Bananza will be archived as his greatest game ever.

The redesign is alright but the over animated facial expressions make him look retarded. The fur effect in Bonanza is also genuinely terrible.
