CFA was a major drag for me, the only one that really posed a threat was the golden guy in a horse at the end, and I ended up running past him, killing the beast god, and just filling that rider guy's ass with arrows lol fuck him

You're overprioritizing vigor and endurance and do no damage because of it. Endurance is fine for fashion souls, the most important part of the game, but I think you're just missing the reduced equipment load talismans. If you swapped out to 40 vig/40 dex for example I think you'd find yourself in a better spot. Break points are 20/40/60/80 so if you don't go to renalla to respecc, just hold off and put more points into either dex or str, depending on what the weapon you want to use scales most with

Dumo your next 20 levels into dex if you are going to keep using a rapier. I would recommend literally any other rapier though, the magic pebble art scales off your int, and its really low.
I recommend the antspur rapier for you, its just east of the shaded castle. It has natural scarlet rot and can be infused with ashes of war. If you dont know where shaded castle is, head north through the ravine from Erdtree grazing hill.

There are particular dungeons (the ones with dudes mining in them) that only have upgrade stones and drop shop unlocks for them. You should have enough stones to upgrade whatever you want at the hub. You can also change affinities (so what the weapon scales with), add status effects, damage type, and change the ash of war on weapons.

Or you can use the Sombre stones and upgrade a legendary type armament thats locked into a particular effect. I finished the game/DLC with this.

weapon upgrades are the most important part of character progression. you should be at least at +24 with a regular weapon by now. +9 somber, ideally 25 and 10 though. Elden Ring just made me realize they don't have a way to evolve the combat other than making windows tighter and making enemies have the dumbest animations with unintuitive momentum stopping swings. Also, I heard that the seamless co-op mod has invasions now. Could I make a Summoner and invade people then summon Spirit Ashes?
