Also SF6 has a couple tod combos, some have been patched out like Guile's Solid Puncher routine, but there are many others.

Some of them are actually quite easy to do, like G's tod in SFV with V-Trigger 2. Guile has a tod in that same game but it's kinda hard... so it doesn't look as cool.

Other than st and hyper fighting, this series was always slower to make it more strategic but 6 isnt even that slow. Ce, Alpha 2, alpha 3, 3s, 4 and 5 are slower.

This. Alpha has functional fireballs and dps, and brought back the majority of the cast and archetypes that define the series. Even though alpha 1 was an awkward mis step, alpha 2 and 3 were able to fix it. And both stand on their own as two great games.

Meanwhile 3 suffered from the same easily avoidable core problems its entire life span. 3 updates in and they only gave us back chun? Two top tiers dominate every iteration of the game? Parries always invalidate fb and dp? Each version of the game is just a slightly less shit version of the last?

Its no wonder 3 is a dead game that people only pretend to play. Underneath meme-o moment 37, and the 24 fps mario reddit animation, the game just fucking sucks.

I don't really think a bigger roster is better. A small roster of strong newcomers will always be more fun to play around with than 36-52 characters every one has seen before. Look at Smash Bros Ultimate, or KOFXV. People pick characters they like, even if the roster is massive, and you end up seeing the same matchups all the time.
