Inferior to the DS library wise but the backwards compatibility and easy modifications make up for it.
Unparalleled time for Nintendo where they realized that their niche wasn't making games you could sink 8+ hours of playtime into in one go, it was basically just frequent smaller use over a period of time. Pretty much the perfect evolution from the DS and the half-step of the DSi. I still play my 3DS on a rather consistent basis even today. I love the form factor and you can customize the absolute hell out of them. Hoping that Pretendo hurries up and stops locking things out of betas.One of the things I am genuinely concerned about though is why/how other people are getting into it. I was at a LAN over the weekend and I saw a girl that had a 3DS and I had mine on me, but I didn't StreetPass her at all. I was passing by her section and literally just said "oh hey I see you have a 3DS, I'm gonna stand here for a second to see if I get a StreetPass tag" and when that didn't happen I said "I'm gonna leave my 3DS here, be right back" since I was packing and by the time I was done, I still didn't have a StreetPass tag. Are people not setting up StreetPass at all or something? This is all a long winded way to say that I'm not getting StreetPass tags still, and I'm not really seeing any uptick when I bring my 3DS places randomly.

god its failing, its failing me some games freeze, sometimes the cfw doesn't boot, sometimes the console doesn't boot... it's like an old ass mum on the dying bed, so fucking sad
>>730665596The way I see it is that the DS library had more variety, but the 3DS library had stronger and fuller games depending on what you liked. WarioWare Gold straight up is just Twisted/MicroGame$/Touched wrapped into one game. Not many 3DS games go that hard, but these days playing gen 6 and 7 of Pokemon feels a lot better to me than playing gens 4/5. Gens 2 and 3 get a pass because of just how much there is to do in those ones.

Then there's stuff like SMT SJ and TWEWY, 999, the ace attorney's (JFA is mostly buns but that last case kicks ass) Ghost Trick, Super Star Ultra and Bowser's Inside Story to name a few of my favorites.
