>can't duck beneath the axes like in castlevania 1unironic artificial difficulty
this is so dogshit
>>730668235This part is easy if you can turn into a bat

i love waitingthis is such peak game design
>>730667053>>730668235>>730669942It's called uncslop for a reason
>>730669942I love bitching this is such peak commentary.

>>730667053Just whip while standing if he throws high, duck and whip if he throws low.
>>730670315That requires pressing like 2 buttons at once, too mentally exhausting for nugamers
>>730669942I saw a video a couple days ago on DKC3, and the youtuber unironically complained about this level because you had to wait hanging on the lever thing before proceedingI swear zoom-zoomies can only play auto-runners and nothing else
>>730670168Now this part i can agree it's total ass.I never pick the Alucard route in this game for the sole reason that i don't want to go through this level.
CV3 is the gold standard for those looking for a fair challenge in an action game, with minimal memorization or 'trial and error' necessary for 1 credit completion. It isn't surprising /v/ can't complete this simple game without complaining.
>>730670460To be far that barrel level in the millhouse fucking sucks
>>730670638>1 credit completion>trannies actually believe this is a thing people do
>>730670460i'm older than you and i'd agree. it's just pointless to hang there. it doesn't add challenge, it's not fun. you just wait there.it's not as bad as autoscroller levels in platformers, but still it's basically like super mini autoscrollers inside level. it's not biggest deal, but it's still valid complaint.
>>730670371nugamers have ADHD and have to be pressing 10 buttons at once at all timesonly being able to press 1 button at once is an atari boomer affliction
>>730670460Slowing down gameplay for the sole reason of slowing down gameplay was never good game design. Tell me what waiting there adds to the game
>>730670460Probably doesnt want to think about hanging until after the transition
>>730670730We used to share and publish high scores too.
>>730670460>unskippable cutscenes are le goodyou're playing movies, not games
>all the boomers in this thread defending objectively bad game design
>>730671815Okay anon, we can play it your way. I'll bite amd give you the chance to prove you aren't a lazy contrarian.Post a counter example; A retro style game you consider to have good game design. I'll wait.
>>730670168>random blocks >weird cave texture repeated over and overman, boomers couldn't design levels for shit, talk about negative atmosphere
>>730670510Its a shame too since the rest of his levels are great, but this particular section just ruins it. its not as bad with Alucard as he can just fly to the top, but anyone else its a complete slog.
>>730672024castlevania 1
Is this a Castlevania thread?
>>730670510Alucard can just fly up so it's not that bad. What is bad is that the boss on that stage is really hard after the stage itself already being the hardest in the game. I only beat that stage by getting the holy water at the beginning of it and then getting through the rest of it without dying at all.
