Not even Scott was able to surpass himself, and I say that as someone who has a lot of nostalgia for the series and it still has a special in my heart (god that sounds stupid but you get what I mean). The first game is legitimately effective horror, it makes up for its cheap jump scare gimmick with a genuinely spooky atmosphere and effective sound design. The usage of heavy shadows made the characters feel eery and tangible in a way that was never replicated in any of the follow ups. As nostalgic as FNAF 2 is for me, it was a downgrade from the first in almost every way, the atmosphere that made the first game unique was gone, the RNG was complete bullshit, and that music box gimmick was more annoying than it was fun and challenging. The only thing that FNAF 2 did that was actually spooky was the mini games, they were cryptic and disturbing, purple guy was just some random we knew nothing about, he still hadn't become the mad scientist CEO that he is now, he felt like a legitimately predatory and depraved guy, at least that was the vibe I got whenever i'd see his little smiling sprite after he just got done killing a bunch of children. Every game was just a gradual decline, that's the problem with mystery stories, eventually you have to reveal the mystery, and the mystique is permanently gone, Scott didn't get the memo and decided to keep the series going.

I figured it out and texted the group chat about it on Skype. I was one of his mods. He got a lot of publicity off that and at the time I had been trying to grow a youtube channel as well. Ah well I was a dumb kid. Those games will always have a special place in my heart, especially the first 3. They were objectively awful and the 3D models were hideous. I try and check up on BFP every few years and see what hes up to. I think hes gone from the internet again. Ah well.

Ah well.i thought he was still going with his kriya stuff, even if the road that falls is still complete vaporware and nearly everything else got the TRTF 5 treatment.the models are horrid but i do kind of like some of the later ideas like the weird ass detached heads in 4 and i really like the idea of the hybrids more than anyone really should before they got replaced by the tortured bots and him wanting to do like 500 things with that game, arguably could've probably done something akin to some ps1 games where separate modes were their own applications instead of trying to make clickteam hold all the shit that was planned, not counting when it was switched to UE4.
