Early reviews make the game sound like Wuwa 1.0 but a bit better. I don’t think there’s ever been a stellar 1.0 release of a gacha game though, except maybe Genshin (which goes to shit immediately after) so whatever.

I'm interested in it for the visuals, simple inclusion of full team gameplay, factorio base building and hopefully decent combat. The gacha is a bit worrying especially since people have been slamming it since the first testing phase.>>730693650The way it sounds right now is that they'll just plan for a monthly sub to fill out the guaranteed gaps. That's probably how they'll do it since as generous as Arknights felt, you really only got everything you wanted from having the monthly. Which was a fair trade if you enjoyed the game enough and put values based on time spent playing. The only shit part is that this further highlights the issues with these 3D action adventure gacha. They always have a small starting cast which makes new banners feel like they take way too long to come out, but then f2p users can't afford the new characters anyway despite how long the banner cycles end up being. Which kills a lot of interest. If Genshin wasn't the "only game" like that around its time, with that much hype, it would have lost tons of its playerbase and revenue much faster. Look at GFL2. Dragged in the mud by controversy in China which nuked its playerbase. Global comes out but people find out there's more controversy on the horizon. They mismanage everything and start pandering to whale bait v6 stuff, and the only reason why you'd get a character that high is for funsmoke, so basically useless. Every new thing they added reminded people that all the game really is is a vehicle to tell a worse story than GFL1 and Bakery. You can make pity every patch but you can't make guarantees every patch in a system that practically begs you to v6 instead of collecting. Between that and more money siphoning you just kill your playerbase. I pray the stream showcases that the devs are listening, but given how GFL1 -> 2 went, I'm a little skeptical that Endfield will be managed properly.
