There are just some people who will say and think incredible things and we all have to suffer for it. I think BotW is a great litmus test. Is it a terrible game? No. Is it a masterpiece 10/10? Absolutely not. Not anywhere close. The confusion is caused when you have it placed at like 95+ on Metacritic when it's a sub-par imperfect, flawed 8/10. Someone in the industry just made stuff up and lied to everyone and everybody believed it.I can see why they would give it such a good score, because it's Zelda, and to them no Zelda game can be bad, but this is such a departure from every Zelda before it that something just isn't right in how people talked about this game closer to original release. They even scored it that highly when it ran at a choppy 30fps @ like 540p or whatever the fuck that was.The 1080p+ 60fps is an improvement and I'll admit it's a nice looking game, but this game has major flaws. It's a glorified tech demo of sorts that doesn't even have real pure dungeons, and now this is what we get more of in the future. The only thing we can hope for is that they make a third one that actually includes real fullscale dungeons plotted around the map. Not holding out hope though
