Good news: Steam now allows workshop mods and games to opt out of annoying and potentially compatibility-breaking automatic updates.

> Mods don’t suddenly stop working.
> Players can stay on an older, stable version if they want.

Steam will automatically download the correct mod version for the game version you’re running.
