I have a job. I'm actually pretty decent at what I do. Got a sort of "grandpa" promotion because it's just not feasible for me to keep going at the pace I was. That's not for middle-aged men. I have a lot of coworkers who play videogames, however it's rare that any of them will even entertain the idea of playing Elden Ring. It's always some petulant bullshit about throwing their controller and getting too worked up over it. One guy couldn't even get past the first boss in Dark Souls, let alone figure out that he could use summons later. I can't help but notice that this same guy is largely seen as incompetent at work. Bad retention for anything you teach him, bad crisis management, low initiative in spite of the fact that it's commission pay. He says he just wants to turn his brain off when he plays, but that's when you're least alive.
