I haven't played either, but from what I understand, a major element of Lunacid is the ability to freely allocate stats which scale to crazy levels, letting you build your character basically like in Morrowind and become an invincible high speed killing machine that flies around at high speed and shits fireballs.

Cant find my copies of the old games that I've owned since they were new as proof, but I can assure you I have played them. Eternal Ring, Shadow Tower, and even Echo Night as well.

I think Lunacid and Dread Delusion were the last games I really enjoyed, haven't played much of anything since then. Watched The Substance one night and the grossness made me pass out in the kitchen and cracked my head on the tiles. Not completely certain, but I think I started to rapidly lose my interest in video games after that. Definitely recommend Lunacid and Dread Delusion though, super comfy games

Literally just put a couple points into speed and you negate the entire combat system.
Verho's map design also isn't very good because the game is almost entirely linear, you can do the first two locations out of order and there's a branch path in the last third of the game and that's it. The curse of masks was a really cool concept though.
