>>730696653Other M is a game where Samus already has the Varia Suit which gives her heat resistance and buffed defenses but she chooses not to enter the abandoned space facility with it active because ??? and chooses to not activate it throughout a large part of the game, even when she's getting mauled by an alien and taking chip damage in an extreme heat area, because Adam hasn't authorized it despite the Varia Suit posing no risk of disturbance to the mission at all. And that's such a minute nitpick in the grand scheme of interweaving problems present in Other M, including being present in the larger problem of Adam's verification rule being such a contrived and poor excuse to distribute upgrades. This is a game where you'll be forced to find a single pixel, and the devs expected you to do this on a 480p/480i display. This is a game where every time you wanna shoot a missile you gotta stand still, flip your Wii Remote vertically, and point it forward. This is a 3D Action Game spearheaded by combat designer of Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black but it's incredibly simple and mundane because of Sakamoto's and Nintendo's wishes. And don't get me started on the actual story, I don't even wanna talk about it. The game is a waste, it obviously had a high budget but it's put towards such a gigantic flop of a game. Metroid Prime 4 is a disappointment in many regards but I cannot in good faith say it's worse than Other M.
