It's become so hard to stay engaged for the entirety of a game's runtime. I think short games should make a comeback.
>>730700165>I think short games should make a comebackThey are called Indie games.
>>730700226>short indie game>look inside>1200 puzzles
>>730700165You can also just... not finish games sometimes.I tend to keep doing side content in open world games and never finish the main story. I've not finished some games I would rank among my favorites. Vice City is an example.
It's not about the games being long, it's about the shitty long tutorials, menus, and cutscenes. I play survivor games the majority of the time now and the simple drop in and play is just something that needs to come back. Games are so logged with shit or a gorillion mechanics that don't know how to slowly progress into the games mechanics while letting you just play from the getgo.
>>730700165I love you Mibolinposter!
>>730700165I become hard when I see Mika
>>730700226how can you say this when the two most popular candidates for indie goty 2025 were both 50+ hour slogs?
>>730700165you're probably one of those people that feel the need to try to 1-2 session every game
>>730700315its like 1200 short games.
>>730700165I honestly don't know how most people finish games. Some of them even go on to do NG+. Once I've unlocked all the spells/abilities/equipments/etc., it becomes just another chore to finish so I drop it. If I'm somewhat curious about the storyslop, I'll just ask google or chatgpt to tell me how it ends.
