And Eli will be alive?
>>730710687yes. I remember the initial fallout over this. hilarious seeing greentext chimpouts. Wish I saved some of them.
So, was Alyx plucked out right there in the vault with the possibility of Gman injecting all her memories, or did he wipe his mind and let her live until she was plucked after closing the super portal, or is it as we saw and we will save an Alyx that never met Gordon but then who helped him? Valve really messed up the timeline with this, loved it tho, except the Strider boss, that was ass
>>730711136It definitely seems like Alyx doesn't get taken until the moment Eli was meant to die, whether that's because of memory wipe bullshit or multiverse timeline bullshit I have no idea.>except the strider box, that was asscan't believe that made it in the final game as it was. all the VR stuff was so fluid and polished and then operated that canon was janky fucking garbage
to be fair having two unkillable monsters show up in a cutscene where you suddenly cant move and brain bug the black science man for a cheap emotional gutpunch was lame as shit anyway
>>730711331It hurts more when you listen to the developer commentary, they initially had the Strider chase you and be more aggressive and dynamic but testers found it difficult so we got a stationary target that barely attacks even on the highest difficulty, same with the simplicity of the weapons, all their fault, the game was so good and some parts were excellent, incredibly good like Jeff, so fucking good and thrilling.
>>730710687Yeah, that seems to be the most likely scenario
>>730710687>revivingoh nononononoeven Kojima let Liquid rest, even though he wanted him back so bad
they'll never make it even though having a simple plot where you simply fight your way to get alyx back would make a fun game.
