I still play the Bungie Halo titles on Xbox and 360 from time to time.The MCC menu feels like some sort of streaming service content delivery interface.Even the vanilla CE menu, barebones as it is, has a "special something" to it, and of course, plenty of people have already waxed their love for the 2/3/ODST/Reach menus for the better part of three decades.

>>730715779Reach is kind of not only a very different tone from the rest of the games, being more war documentary style than a mystical war adventure, but it's the culmination of the prior games into one big thing, and sort of throws you into the Human-Covenant War expecting you to have played prior games despite loosely setting them up. But even if you started with Combat Evolved, the games never out-and-out explain the war's circumstances or origins without digging out an old manual anyway. It was kind of "roll with the flow and listen to what the characters say" sorta stuff.

It's passable but they fucked up a lot of the performance with the reach update and the menus are absolute trash so have fun with that. Working through Halo 4 right now and it is just ass all round. Hate the promothean weapons. The story is more or less incomprehensible gibberish that seems to retcon a lot of the established lore and you constantly run out of ammo for everything. The promethean enemies are lame, the armour and weapon designs are trash... It's my first time playing it and I went in pretty open minded but I am not enjoying it. The only redeedming quality is that Cortana is absolutely banging in this game and my dick twitches every time a cutscene comes on and her fine ass is on screen seriously her character model is basically pornographic it's ridiculous.So, yes, worth it for Halo 1-3. Slightly dated gameplay but still holds up well enough. Halo 4 is rubbish but Cortana is hot af.

How can you even play this game on a gamepad? I guess the driving controls are better on a gamepad, but I could never comprehend how can you aim with an analog stick.
>>730718528I haven't tried MCC with a controller, but like with virtually every single FPS on any console in gen 7 and later, there's extremely aggressive auto-aim. Basically if any part of your crosshair lands on an enemy, the game will make your camera follow them, with the crosshair centering on the enemy's torso.
