Why doesn’t /v/ like this game? It’s genuinely a classic at this point.

>>730730670Playing this game (and then others in the genre) a few years ago completely obliterated my interest in souls-like games. The combat in those games does absolutely nothing for me anymore.

>>730730670Personally I think it's a good game but overrated, the overall gameplay is neat but the constant instakill QTE's are bullshit, the color palette is hideous wih everything outside of Bayonetta herself being either grey or brown, the enemy designs are pretty samey, there's way too many cutscenes that go on for too long for a game that isn't a 100-hour JRPG, and while lore is interesting it is explained very poorly making ir hard to get into the story, thankfully most of this gets addressed in the sequels.I suspect however that the reasons most people here have to dislike it aren't quite as nuanced, there are still a lot of people butthurt that the franchise went Nintendo exclusive.
