If you've never tried to daily drive linux you truly don't know how awful it is to try and have a normal windows experience on it. I daily drove Mint for 3 months and liked it overall, it was an upgrade over Windows in a few ways, but just those occasional weird Linux issues made me switch back, and they were so hard to fix sometimes. I liked it though, one day I'll try it again but I've been on Windows for about a year and a half now again and I do appreciate the "just werks" about Windows, managed to not have to use an MS account for my build, I'm sure there's telemetry and stuff but I keep it vanilla enough anyways.
