am i too RETARDED for this? what the FUCK do i do
You Factorio. It's in the name of the game, dipshit.
>>730735821There's a tutorial and mini tutorials for each unlock. You build a factory.
Put the things in the other things, you dork, even a child could do it
First, get power. Next, put down labs. Finally, research anything and everything.
>>730735821Just play the tutorial and always have the goal of expanding and unlocking more tech. Factorio is not an idle game, anytime you spend waiting can be time spent on expanding the factory.
>>730735821Are you actually stuck or are you just retarded? You know there are tutorials right?
>>730736105gave up on the abandoned railway level of the tutorial after getting stuck for 4 hours. I really feel like I'm too stupid for it or something.
The game was kinda fun but once I got to green science it got too complicated.
>>730736539It took you years to go from crawling to walking.
>>730736369I can get started fine but actual automation after electricity gets too overwhelming and i dont wanna watch tutorials like a pussy
>>730736539If you aren't having fun, drop the game. The entire game is about figuring out how to solve these things. As you get better and better, the things you have to solve become more challenging and complex. If this is not fun for you, stop playing.
>>730735821Play with biters off, you gain nothing from them so turn them off untill you get a grasp of the gameUse the massive map to space out your different productions so you can later scale them up Cap your chests so you don't over produce expensive shit you only need a bunch at a timeCalculate how much resources you craft vs what you need, the game tells you everything, its up to you to calculate this
>>730736539I don't like the tutorials even though I ended up liking the game when I actually played free play.So I don't think the tutorial is necessarily representative of the game.
>>730736369>>730736539The tutorials suck dick, they're too free handed on their approach and don't teach you anything actually important like the many hotkeys you'll need
>>730736539Try to plan out the best format for production sets with the blueprints. Like try to plan out the best way to set up furnace arrays and expand it out to fit the expected capacity you need. Try to plan out how things are spaced out it in your factory like how any of your assemblers are in relation to the furnances. Spacing out areas in your factory also helps give you more breathing room. You don't have to cram everything.
>>730736847They dont? I'll try it then, they've destroyed my base multiple times and I'm more interested in expanding my base than dealing with them rn I'm trying to plan out my base but this is my first factory building game and everything gets confusing really fast, thanks for the tips though.
>>730737426You can also try hybrid settings. Personally I enjoy biter expansion turned off. So you just need to clear them out once. There's still a lot of military tech that's fun to play around with so I don't turn them off.
>>730736951I found it pretty weird that you're building on top of someone else's base but whatever it did teach me a lot of thing I didn't get when I dropped into freeplay without it.
>>730735821Unironically make a sandbox world and make your own blueprints.Learn how to make a decent Green Circuit build. Then make a red circuit build. Maybe incorporate green circuits into the red circuit build and just belt in copper plates and plastics as well as iron plates.I'm sure by then you'll know what to do for blue circuits. If you're getting 'filtered' don't worry. Just troubleshoot and learn how the game works as you play. It may seem daunting, but the more you play and experiment, the more you learn. Then you'll see why people have thousands of hours in this piece of shit that lacks a proper tutorial.Fuck Wube. They're assholes.
THE ENTIRE POINT OF THIS GAME IS TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO AUTOMATE THINGSIF YOU USE OTHER PLAYERS' BLUEPRINTS OR ALLOW /V/IRGINS TO GIVE YOU ADVICE, YOU ARE RUINING THE GAME FOR YOURSELF
>>730736105>Factorio is not an idle gamedisagree, that's almost exactly how i play, it's a great background game off in one corner of the screen.I had 1200 hours when i bought the dlc in dec24/jan25
>>730735821Step 1: try to make a nice, orderly baseStep 2: spaghetti
>>730739841the dlc is the worst slop ever made. random people make better gamee with mods.
>>730735821>am i too RETARDED for this?you haven't told us what your problem is, so yeah, you're retarded
I created a couple of BPs for Gleba. Time to tear down my old base.
>>730740572Fruit gathering in Gleba is fucking gay. They did it in such a gay as fuck way. If we had better control over when certain conditions are met it would be good, but you have to do some very convoluted bullshit to get something sophisticated going. And you CAN optimize fruit pulling to only work when you need it to, so that you're not wasting freshness and expanding so much spores, but they clearly gave up on rectifying the dogshit spoilage mechanic."lol just make more!"Disgusting sub 80 IQ faggotry.
You do it like me, you rage uncontrollably that the factory looks more and more spaghetti fucking ugly due to arbitrary design choices that limits the logistic technology you are allowed to use with absolutely batshit crazy decisions that would immediately get you mocked fired from engineering position and mocked for the rest of your life for merely suggesting them in a normal factory setting, and then you start solving the spaghetti, then realize what's going on and ragequit on the spot. Because you think "if only I had..." and then you think about getting a mod that would give the basic normal SANE logistic tools that such a factory should have, but then that would be cheeeeeating, because there would be no game. What game? This one. A game, that is entirely, ENTIRELY, about, frustratingly bad logistic tools. This is factually correct opinion. Someone made a game, called it factorio, and it is about a factory designed to not work as it should. Intentionally. You do not learn or play around with anything that remotely looks or feels like managing a factory. Everyone who praises this game has simply gotten around the bad treadmills and terribly robot arms by copy pasting what others do, because it is a solved puzzle game to min-max the bad logistic tools. And you can just look it up, copy it, and every does that, and actually believe they are smart turbo autists.I ragequit at factorio, every single time, and not because it is too autistic for me but not enough. It is fake lukewarm autism. Unpleasant, to my severely more broken brain too dysfunctional to enjoy the food of the lesser autist plebs. I will be accused of not being smart enough for this game, but I will preemptively announce that no one who has mastered this game has learned anything remotely useful for the operation of a real factory, on account that they have normal fucking treadmills and robot arms. If they have not gotten good at factory, what have they learned? A solved puzzle game. Pass.
>>730741845>The factory must grow!>NO WAIT NOT LIKE THAT
>>730743218Do you even fucking play this game?Yes, retard. There are better ways to build and expand and grow your factory so that you don't screw yourself over in the future. Some ways to build cause you to bottleneck very quick. Circuit conditions can be used to fix certain shit and make your base more efficient. I have to believe you haven't even beat the game yet if you don't know this.
