Honorable mention to Byleth for killing the momentum on what were new additions to the Smash roster and in general, unexpected faces overall even if I thought Joker was lame.Deserving? Crash Bandicoot and Dixie Kong. The former being a big icon in gaming and one Japan loves fondly and the latter should have been one of the first echoes revealed if she wasn't allowed to be unique, which she can be. But Chrom showed they could bend the rules, and there should have been at least five more echoes for the base game, all potential fan favorites that could still get an amiibo and a spot on the collage.Custom moves could also make them slightly unique.
