I couldn't stomach the highest difficulty, needing runic attacks to stun and the evolving enemies are just too tedious

I didn't mind it but the pseudo rpg statshit was insultingly shallow and at complete odds with their "le cinematic one shot" gimmick. A lot of the side content was also complete filler that the shitty rpg system was trying to justify. Didn't mind the story but its not a game I'd ever replay given how unskippable it all is.

I get that you have to start somewhere, but the difficulty on gmgow was WAY out of line especially for the early game. I remember buying it and being genuinely put off by the pissant enemies being SO strong. As Kratos I killed fucking Zeus, but now I was getting one shot by some root ball. It does not offer a good experience playing as Kratos until the mid point of the game or later.
