Nowadays games have way higher settings, but still look like shit because everything is blurred to hell, textures and models have to include fucking blemishes and peach fuzz, characters are extremely ugly if not deformed, and colors are mandated to be washed out and dull. And worst part is, everything is intentionally unoptimized as fuck to get you to buy the newest graphics card, while the games themselves have no fun or interesting gameplay. Modern games are made to be watched, not played. Even indies are like this, but their models and textures look even shittier than the old games.
