Ratings have been inflated by reviewers taking infinite bribes since the magazine days and an insane amount of marketing, it's particularly bad in games where a 7 or 6/10 is seen as something that's garbage, where with a more mature medium like music, a 4/5 album will considered one of the greatest of all time
