I'm getting my ass kicked by this game. Any tips?>got arm cut off by prison guard and killed by zombie>died from an infection during the dream sequence in that book
>>730762219I don't know, anon. For you see...this game......broke me......................
>>730762219Drop it and play Termina(less shitty game) or Black Souls(better art and story)
>>730762287S-sonna...
>>730762540I do intend to play both of those but I want to finish this first. The setting is cool and the atmosphere is kino.
>>730762219Don't. Just put on some 20 hour video essay in the background while you do something actually productive in your life.
>>730762748>He said posting on /v/
>>730762219>get the dash skill from the question sequence at the beggining>limbs from enemies stay cut even if you escape from them. you can cut limbs from enemies, then escape and re enter combat to cut off all their limbs until you kill them with no risk. this is especially useful against the penis guards>the little girl (uoh) can be made very useful by teaching her magic>the dog likes meatsome of the advice i can think of. frustration is part of the experience but don't be afraid of eyeing up the wiki a bit if it gets unfuni beat the game twice with mercenary, he's probably the best one to start with?also empty scrolls are the most broken items in the game but i'll leave it up to you to figure them out.and i don't quite remember this one but i think beds can be made safe even with bad flips by killing all enemies in the area? maybe someone else can confirm thisthe atmosphere and lore of this game made it absolutely worth it for me to push through
>>730763726>and i don't quite remember this one but i think beds can be made safe even with bad flips by killing all enemies in the area? maybe someone else can confirm thisThat is correct. You can still lose the coin flip, however all that will happen then is that it won't allow you to save but nothing bad will happen. You can just try to sleep in the same bed immediately after until it lets you save.
>>730762219>got arm cut off by prison guardAlways attack the arm holding the weapon first so they can't cut your limbsBut more importantly get dash and just avoid fights/run away as much as possible
Is there a similar girl marriage mod for F&H Termina? My willingness to play and suffer through it is dependent on the answer.
>>730764730Why are pedophiles like this
>>730762219>kojimbo makes a game about walking>NOOOO THIS GAME IS SHIT>some fag makes a game about walking>OMG SO KINO!
>>730762219Take HRT and transition
>>730764967Yes
it's all rng shit even if you get good. fuck tranny genres
>>730762219youre supposed to use information from failed runs to hopefully not make the same mistakes again (although the game is oddly realistic in many ways so you can also just use actual real life common sense to avoid many of the same issues if possible)its still extremely lethal and this is bordering on spoiler territory but for the guards specifically you can almost flowchart solo them as long as you manage to instantly delimb the cleaver arm, after that their only real attack is the bullrush that they telegraph (if i recall correctly it has the stinger pulsating cue a turn in advance). They can kind of hold it so the easiest mistake is to get impatient and think its safe to attack too soon, but basically you just get the cue for their attack thats about to come on one of the next turns, you block until the attack comes out, you try to cut off their legs and you repeat that process until theyre headless and youre not
Has anyone tried the frapollo bugfix mod?I can't seem to find a changelog for what exactly was "fixed".I'm hoping to improve stability to avoid crashes, but if it patches out things like leg sweep breaking doors I might have second thoughts about using it.
>>730767748>youre supposed to use information from failed runs to hopefully not make the same mistakes again
>>730762219
>>730764045So you can just spam save until it works with no repercussions?
>>730771261Yes, F&H by design is trial and error.
>>730762683The story of funger 1 Is better than those 2 so you should drop it to enjoy it later
>>730773905It isnt just trial and errorIt's also luck and chanceYou can have all the game knowledge in the world and still get killed by a bad roll or coin flip
>>730773870Yes, if you've cleared the area it will say you weren't able to sleep if you fail the roll but you can just try again immediatelyI think Crow Mauler might show up if you've seen him and haven't killed him yet though
>>730774950>You can have all the game knowledge in the world and still get killed by a bad roll or coin flipCorrect about the roll, incorrect about the coin flip. If you get a coin flip situation, you lack enemy or game world knowledge, basically a skill issue.
>>730762219Go to the back entrance and all the way down until you reach a bed near a statue (you'll have to avoid a powerful enemy but it's easily doable). This is your save point. You can only save there safely once (unless you kill the mauler nigger) but it's easier to explore from there. At first just try to avoid slow enemies. Get En garde.
>>730763726Anon, thank you. I've been having an issue for like the last year or so where I couldn't remember the reason for why I dropped this game, and you reminded me.I dropped this game because from all 4 hours I experienced of it, the expected means of thriving in the game don't really match up with player expectations and stem from memorization and you trying to game the system as opposed to utilize clever strategies. For instance, the enemies on the first floor, the penis guards, you can't run from them outside of battle because their sprites are just simply faster than yours. You can't sneak around them because the stealth mechanics aren't sophisticated enough even in complete and utter darkness, and you can't really fairly 1v1 them without taking life-changing severe wounds from them, and you definitely cannot 1v1 them in a row. Instead what the game really wants you to do is to game the system by either doing a hit-and-run strategy of hitting them in battle, escaping, and re-entering the battle to take advantage of the fact you always have initiative, or you have to memorize their attack patterns to know which specific rounds to defend in and which ones to attack in. And this is just the first battle. It's sort of like the bad game design of a Sierra Adventure Game actually. If you were to take a run through of a game where you won and describe it to someone else, and they ever ask the question "how did your character know to do that action," and the only real answer to that question is "because I died and reloaded the game," then you have a bad and unfair game.
>>730779062>you can't really fairly 1v1 them without taking life-changing severe wounds from them, and you definitely cannot 1v1 them in a row.Unironic huge skill issueThe guards are so easy you can kill them without damage every single time
>>730779474Well, read the rest of that sentence, then describe to me how a brand new player to the game would be able to successfully defeat 2 of the guards consecutively without taking any severe or game-changing wounds. If your theory makes sense, maybe I'll give the game a second try.
