>Bedrock and Java are supposed to be as similar as possible
>Regenerative health is way slower in Bedrock, mobs have different attack outputs, fire sprites are different, blah blah the list goes on
Why? And don't say it's because of c++ vs java, theses things are language agnostic.

Its because bedrock evolved from a fucking mobile port.
>>
>>730763879
bedrock is basically remake that microsoft was able to do without any restrictions

Bedrock was Frankenstein’d together to run on everything from toasters to smart fridges, so they had to make all sorts of compromises for consistency on potato-tier hardware. Java was always PC first, so it didn’t have those same shackles. The inconsistencies aren’t about language, they’re about design priorities-Bedrock is corporate-friendly and streamlined for monetization, Java is still riding that old-school, semi-chaotic charm.

>release widely hated combat update (too proud to revert it)
>when bedrock edition releases the next year, don't implement it (too embarassed to support it)
>both versions of minecraft have now had entirely different combat mechanics for a decade

hopefully hytale lights a fire under their ass

why is the mobile game wither 10x harder then?
>>
>>730766817
because Microsoft is retarded, every single software made by them is filled with inconsistencies.
>>
>>730763879
It's run by a small indie company, so they can't afford the man hours to make it work

>swimming is broken
>projectile sprites aren't where they actually are
>exp will straight up move away from the player
>doubling placing
>enemies spawn the second your back is turned 10 ft away
>no mob collision
>redstone still doesn't work the same
>still shows hit sprites when enemies have i-frames
Jeet code vs uber autism nord code

This is honestly one of the worst fucking games I’ve ever played. Mods help in some ways but also highlight how fundamentally boring the game is and make some things far worse than vanilla.

You're exaggerating, surely?

My favorite is how any time you take off with an elytra there's a chance the server will just get confused and no realize you're flying so you just start taking constant fall damage as it tries to calculate your position on the ground based on your client-side movements in the air.

minecraft in general seems like their singular biggest dev strategy is to just do shit arbitrarily and gauge the reaction until their next whim hits them

Still waiting for palm trees.

I don't understand why they do most things. It's like basing your movie adaptation off the kinda shitty Dungeon crawler no one like. It's just a big "BUT WHY?" over and over agien.
>>

Java is true Minecraft, Bedrock is Microsoft's microtransaction store.
>>
>>730763879
Because Java is actual minecraft and Bedrock is microshart's bastardized mobile port.
