Every time I think about it, I always feel like Dwarf Fortress should be way more fun than Rimworld... but at the end of the day I have way more hours in RW than DF. I don't really know why either. Both are relatively shallow once you get used to both of them, but RW just plays a lot better I guess. I guess DF is probably more enjoyable to people who love reading the fuckton of text and character lore n backstories n whatnot. Maybe I've just never gotten that far in DF before my base dies to a dragon, goblin raid, deep dwelling monsters, or aids or whatever. RW is pretty kino with weeb mods too.

Its the only colony sim ive ever been able to get into. It strikes the balance btween complex and simple in such a way that makes it fun.Also the music is incredible
