If you dump them into 1 student, you won't as easily have the items to upgrade bond items to level 2, or help the gear owning students up to the levels where they unlock (bond 15 and bond 20). Both of these levels tend to be big landmarks that deeply impact their value to them. But if you don't care about that, you can just focus on your favorite student(s).
