Her dad is a hunter and her mom uses the music box to remind him of his humanity and keep him sane. If you play the music box during the Gascoigne fight it stuns him, but only works twice before he stops listening to it. Also the girl's mother is a corpse found in the Gascoigne boss room, you get her red brooch as proof.You can either break the brooch to get a pretty good unique droplet blood gem that extends rally time, or give the brooch back to the girl. If you give it to her she'll (offscreen) try to leave her home for safety, but get killed in the Yharnam sewers and eaten by the giant pig in the sewers. You can also tell her about Oedon Cathedral as a safe spot, which also leads to this outcome.Kill the pig to get the Red Messenger Ribbon item, you can either give it to the stump messengers in the Hunter's Dream so they can wear pretty red ribbons, or later give the ribbon to her older sister, who appears at the window asking you to find her sister. If you give her the ribbon she'll commit suicide by jumping off the ledge, and you can get the White Messenger Ribbon from her body.If you tell the girl about Iosefka's Clinic as a safe spot she'll travel there and become a Celestial Minion, dropping the base version of the Formless Oedon rune when killed.Also you can play the music box after you beat Mergo's Wet Nurse and Mergo is crying, which causes him to calm down and laugh instead.
