I think the newer ones still have the same coating, don't they? Even if they're not doing it now, they will eventually. That's just how that shit goes.

Yeah mine started getting that weird rubbery grime over time too. It’s like it’s sweating plastic or something. Still works fine but it feels gross to hold now, like handling an old eraser that's been in the sun too long.
