why is it so hard to stick the landing ?
>>730780232Its actually easy, they just made multiple really bad decisions
>>730780232XC3 is fineWorst game in the series but it's still a good game
>>730780326thats kinda my point, I still really like both games but at they same time they are still disapointing
In general, I'm always very surprised whenever long running, highly interconnected and complex series are clearly being written as they go, with little if any plan for their ending. Like, you should know your ending unironically day 1. You may tweak your idea for the ending as the story unfolds, but still, it should be like, 70-90% formed.Shit like Jujutsu Kaisen, Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, and recently Stranger Things were all huge phenonmena, but when they got to their end they went>Oh, uh, I guess this happens. Don't worry about that other stuff. Everything's done now, mostly. And it's like, how didn't you have this worked out before you even started the project.
>>730781821well because they probably don't expect the success that they got and to go on as long as they did>Star Wars Sequel Trilogyexcept that one there was no excuse for that
>>730781974JJK and Stranger Things popularity hit hard, early, and fast, yet both seemingly threw their hands up near the end.
>>730783954>JJKwritting week to week is hard
>>730780232XC3 sticks it with future redeemedKH has been fucked since 2, maybe even CoM
To be fair, there was no way Monolith was gonna top the final chapters of XC2.
>>730786880I feel like the warning signs of 3 should've been apparent from the start of development though"it's this war-torn world where no group ever got to build any kind of culture or identity and each one is ruled by some alphabetic cackling retard". That once you've seen a couple colonies, you've seen them all.
>>730780232KH3 was never planning to stick a landing, there was a fucking XIGGER plotting in the shadows all alongalso Xehanort's a jobber loser cuck
XC3 is the one that made me feel the mostThe main cast is probably my favorite despite Mio and Noah being very milquetoast and Senna being underdevelopedIt also plays betterIt's solid all around, the problem is the story makes itself irrelevant
>>730781821>You may tweak your idea for the ending as the story unfolds, but still, it should be like, 70-90% formed.Having your ending in mind from the beginning doesn't matter if you story progresses in a different direction and you make no attempt to line everything up.
>>730787850This shit drives me nuts with manga, I could count on one hand the amount that looked like they knew where they were going
I am asking once again. When is Xenoblade getting a 60fps patch for Switch 2?
>>730788016It's weird because I'd say Monolith is one of the very few nip studios who still know how to optimize their shitMaybe they're very busy on something else
