Shitty blogs like HG101 started saying it is, but it's not. It's part of a bunch of games that are loosely connected thematically, but nothing more.

Terranigma isn't even by the same team that made the other games in the """trilogy""", and it just re-uses the same themes that were already done in the others but this time with far worse gameplay, graphics, music and combat.

I'm a euronigger (australian but close enough). I own all the quintet games, terranigma is my least favourite. It's a 6/10 game at best, which to me, means slightly above average.
