>>730785231The problem for me was the non random encounters - the game's built around getting your jobs grinded up, and it takes far longer to do that when you have encounters that you have to wait for to show up on the overworld. On PS1 meanwhile you get encounters quite often, which helps balance the lower overall difficulty too by making you use resources more. That being said I do like how the bandits after Dharma make you instantly consider grinding a little bit to deal with them, which forces you to instantly engage with the new mechanic you earned and I love that. >>730785795If they do the writing like DQ2 HD it'll probably be fine. Party Chat on PS1 feels a little under utilized at times, but considering the sheer length of the game and amount of text already, the fact that Party Chat was a then new feature at all was already cool enough.
