Do multiplayer games where you can meaningfully steal from other players exist? That sound like a salt mine waiting to happen.

In Star Citizen you can roleplay as a space pirate and demand someone's cargo but the gamer dads hate it and will think you are as immoral as a rapist. Most of them won't cooperate and either shoot at you or blow up their own ship

When I played in a random Minecraft server with my friends I would get my shit stolen from on the regular
A lot of servers have protections against that kind of stuff now though

he said "best" not "easiest to steal things"
kcd is fucking pathetic. it is incredibly easy to steal and level up thievery. additionally, once you have good gear, theres almost never anything WORTH stealing anymore, as every chest is just junk and money is literally worthless. just steal a few thousand from the shop keepers. steal any item that you would want to buy. if you ever buy something or pay for skill training, just steal the money back. donate to an npc on the road? steal it right back the moment they walk away. theres literally some noble that escaped from captivity that begs for money so he can get back home, and you can encounter him later. if you give him cash, you can steal it back immediately. when you meet him again, he rewards you for helping him. you just made double your money, but it doesnt matter because that 500 is a drop in the bucket of your worthless 20k you've accumulated.

Nah Skyrim fails purely because it makes the full merchant inventories unavailable (and no, glitching or noclipping to get to the chest underneath the cell doesn't count). Morrowind did it better, and so did Arcanum.
