When will Sean Murray apologize?
>>730790439He already did, by making a great game.
>>730790439He actually fixed the game and delivered something even better than what was originally promised. The internet has forgiven him. Even most of /v/ is positive about him and NMS now. It's also one of the best VR titles.
theres no need to apologizeyou either watch what it says on the storepage or watch a full playthrough of a game on youtube before you buy an infinitely replicable digital product or you go in blind and get whatever you deserve
>>730790529Found it kind of boring to be honest. You just go to endless different planets mining resources, just becomes tedious. Then the co-op feature seems entirely pointless because there's nothing you actually do together.
>>730790539>It's also one of the best VR titles.Does it even have any VR mechanics? Can I pick up shit with my hands and stuff?
He did years ago and then went and did a million updates to it to superficially inflate the amount of content his game has.Unironically he has now delivered on everything he promised.
>>730790529"Great" is a stretch. It's still like a 6.5/10.
>>730790621>Does it even have any VR mechanics? Can I pick up shit with my hands and stuff? They have cockpit controls for the ship. And of course since 99% of the game is shooting things with guns it'll be more fun doing that in VR. Game also looks really beautiful in VR, especially in space. And thankfully no, they did not pointlessly emulate physics of every single rock so that you can pick them up and basedface over the "physics".
>>730790763>>And thankfully no, they did not pointlessly emulate physics of every single rock so that you can pick them up and basedface over the "physics".so it's garbage, you probably never played an actual VR game in a VR room. There's nothing worse than playing a VR game with a controller so boring. If you don't have to use your entire body, what's the fucking point.
>>730790529>>730790539>>730790587>>730790637cucks
>>730790439The biggest issues in the game (artstyle and gameplay loop) are still there to this day
>>730790798Yes I have played VR games for several years, that's why I am saying emulating the physics of rocks on the ground is garbage. You never use this "mechanic" for anything, it's a waste of processing power. How many times can you pick up bottles on the tables and go :OOOOOO? After a few years the novelty wears off and you'd rather just pilot a spaceship and shoot robots.
>>730790439Like a week after it launched
>>730790854>You never use this "mechanic" for anything, it's a waste of processing power. How many times can you pick up bottles on the tables and go :OOOOOO?There are literally VR games build around this mechanic, that's the point.
>>730790798Yeah but what does the reddit frog have to do with that
>>730790637yep, and it's still utterly dull surface-level busywork on empty planets with the same handful of plants and animals copy/pasted ad infinitum. the dead feeling of the world isn't helped by the central narrative of going insane due to being trapped in a dying simulation. why he would go that route is baffling.
>>730790897Yes these games are built around this mechanic, that's why they have the mechanicNMS is not built around picking up rocks, why would they add that mechanic?
>>730790862Link him apologizing (you won't)
>>730790950>NMS is not built around picking up rocks, why would they add that mechanic?Yea, but that's my point anon. Games that are not build around VR mechanics are not good VR games. I'd go even as far to say that I think the teleport mechanic like in HL Alyx is pretty bad for VR when there are games where you can walk freely, you just need a big room.
>>730791339Picking rocks up is not the only VR mechanic that exists, retardThe most popular VR games (like Beat Saber) don't have that mechanic at all
>>730790439All the things he lied about are actually in the game now, so fair enough.
>>730791381>Picking rocks up is not the only VR mechanic that exists, retardit's not about rocks it's more about solving puzzle and shit with your body>(like Beat Saber)I played that it's just not as good as an actual VR game where you can move around.
>>730791523Piloting a spaceship with cockpit controls and shooting guns is enough VR mechanics
>>730790439after he's done doin ya mom
>>730790439He is going to mog Todd with his next game and you know it
>>730791465Still lying huh? Sad
>>730790439After LNF releases and it's missing basic features people expected and the combat is still boring dogshit
>sean murray lying> :(>todd howards lying> :D
This game is so good. Can't believe i fell for the memes that long
>>730790439>his only crime was that he got corned by an interviewer who insisted that the game should have multiplayer and sean implied that it might have it after a while>people broke into his home and offices>people made death threats IRL against his and his family and terrorized themAll while Todd Howard got away with everything without any incidence, without his reputation being completely fucked, without improving starfield in any way shape or form despite having almost the same budget as star citizen has
>>730790529Eh. It's a good sandbox but the actual game is horrible. It still suffers from the same issue it did on release where it's completely directionless. There's nothing to do on planets beyond scanning shit for the sake of scanning shit, collecting things you already have thousands of to make your suit slightly better and maybe buying a slightly better spaceship that lets you go to another system in 1 jump instead of 2.
>>730793996Did that pig just smile?
>>730794625Pigs are some of the smartest animals on the planet, anon.
>being excited about the game your studio was founded to make that you finally get to make after years of shovelware is lyingTrannies, everyone.
>>730790606Yeah, that's the game he promised i guess
>>730794723I don't think those two things are related
>>730793389Are there fags who unironically like that fag todd howard
>>730795105Why not? Pigs are capable of recognizing expressions and deducing what their meaning, thus being able to adopt them when interacting with humans.
>>730793389I can tell she'd look pretty weird without those glasses.
>>730796739Glasses stay on during sex
