Should I get back into FPS games?
you wouldn't play fps games otherwise?
no retakes, why does this matter anyway
>online reflex benchmarkLMFAO
I'll never understand the "le old man reflexes" thingAre you really playing vidya at such a high level that you lose if you're 50ms slower? If so, stop being a fagnigger and play some singleplayer kino
mogged
>>730796323>181 msi never play FPS games, is this bad
>>730796504Its a cope from fags that are lazy and dont want to git gud, or take care of themselves. If youve been gaming most your life, your twitch reflexes barely deteriorate at all. If its slow, its probably because youre a fatfuck/eat like shit/get no sleep/dont exercise at all. That and zooms are desperate to feel superior about sonething I guess, becauee I didnt see any of this le old man shit 10+ years ago
In most FPS games your reaction time won't matter as much as learning recoil control and shit ass metas because the devs do a worse job of balancing weapons than COD did in 2012. Feel free to, it just probably won't go anywhere if you still play casually based on what fun you want to have. There is a reason that if you pay attention 90% of the work aimbots do is recoil control.
guess i get the high score
>>730797063oh my god
>>730797063"high score" my assbeat you easily
>>730796504i tested my 75 year old father, he was scoring 175-180, which is where I am at 35. not sure if the "oldman" reflexes only happens to people with poor diets and health
220 sometimes 200. Basically the same it was 10 years ago. I am 30.
>>730797218if youre not using a gaymen mouse and high refresh rate monitor 200 isnt to bad.
>>730797330>165Hz monitor>MX518Damn what do I blame now?
>>730797204They do, "reflexes slowing by age" is unironically a boomer cope.
>>730797204Yo off topic but how has been your relationship with your dad since you were a kid? I'm only a little younger than he was when he had you (36 first child, 38 second and done) and I'm extremely concerned about the age gap vs when I should have had kids. I'm eager to hear what you can share about your experience growing up with an "old" dad.
>>730797481>>730797204I imagine it's also that your brain lets parts of itself die off if it never gets used, so if you're consistently doing fast reaction time activities it will maintain it as best it can
>>730797372try a different browser, the one you used might not be vsynced. microsoft has some stupid settings hidden all over the place
>>730797372bad luckstill, average human visual reaction time is 250ms so you're not terrible
https://codepen.io/techless/full/GgpwwMpCheck your audio reflexes, bros. I found out through this that my USB audio interface more than doubles my latency.
>>730797624Same as visual for me
>>730797664Then you have audio latency, it should be considerably faster. For reference, I do around 160 on visual and mid 120s on audio on my pc with an audio dongle rather than the interface.
>>730797807Retard
>>730797840No, you're a retard. Human reaction time to hearing is much faster than to visual stimulus. If you get the same reaction speed to audio, your PC has lots of audio latency.
>>730797510our relationship is good. parents divorced when i was young, siblings divided, but he had custody of me. we are both easy going, patient, understanding, and introverted people. His parenting style was not to punish but to explain why something was good or bad, but not in an overbearing manner. more factual and looking to see that i understood, rather than respect authority because he was the authority figure. my dads age was never an issue but he has always been very health conscious. i went vegan 10+ years ago and he followed my path. the rest of my family is falling apart healthwise (except me and him), so him being an older father but healthy the whole time has helped. although he got lucky since i was a good kid and never did anything wrong. over the covid lockdowns he had a lot of free time so i taught him to play video games. how to walk and control a camera at the same time. his first game was Dark Souls. A week ago he beat Promised Consort Radahn in Elden Ring.
>>730796323Try a real benchmark you faggitz.https://humanbenchmark.com/tests/aim
>>730798668>try clicking in the very center>867ms>click anywhere in the target>471msso it doesn't matter where you click in the target? that sucks cock
>>730797132Check these dubs
>>730799095>you didn't win, you only shot me in the lung and not the head!
>>730798668meh
>>730799370what a crappy argument, don't reply to me again
>>730799549
>>730797204>>730797481>>730797005>aging is actually a myth! We have reached what is easily the most delusional cope times in human history. Millennials are that screwed up in the head about the fact that they're getting older? Do you really not realize how stupid and delusional this sounds? Yeah you're gonna be beating my great great great great great.... great grandchildren in football with your static health and reflexes in 969 years Methuselah.
>>730799738explain lebron age and roger federer chess mate
>>730799738so im guessing you are noticeably slowing down with age.what do you think is causing you to slow down?
>>730799738you slow down with age but it's really not that much at all until you hit your 60s, lots of fighting game 40+ yo boomers still win tournaments with 1000s of entrants
>>730796504Mordhau is pretty much the only video game where I conceded "alright, ping literally does matter"If you lose to someone with 20 better ping than you, you can 100% blame the ping.
>>730798579Sounds like you have a cool dad anon. Thanks for sharing your story, it gives me hope I can be available and a big part of my kids lives. Enjoy many more years with him.
>>730796323it depends on the time of day you do ityour reactions peak like an hr or two after you wake up and slowly get worse throughout the day.slam some caffeine and within 10minutes you will have better reactions as well.measuring it and seeing how consistent it is and how easily changed it is from environmental factors is mindblowing because it all feels so seamless as you experience life.
>>730799952>what do you think is causing you to slow down?aging
>>730797204>>730796504reaction time is "use it or lose it" the studies people talk about that show it gets worse with age was straight up random people and they discounted any outliers.studies done in the 80s and 90s on retired athletes showed that those who continued to make use of their reactions and fitness had their reactions identical to that of someone in their prime. If your 75 year old father still does shit that makes uses of his reflexes, especially regularly, and he really does try to react quickly, he absolutely will still be doing it the same as an year 18 year old.
>>730798668>36 year old stonerbest i could do.
>>730798579>although he got lucky since i was a good kid and never did anything wronghave you ever considered you are a good kid because of your fathers parenting style, not that it worked because you are innately a "good kid"?
>>730796323Holy shit is this real? Underage!
>>730799738The effects of aging come as a result of bodily wear, mental stress, diet, exercise affecting your cell growth and stimulation. It's wrong to say that aging makes you slow as it's very possible to lose your edge in your 20s, just as you can keep your reflexes razor sharp until you're on your death bed.We age so differently that assuming that simply becoming older makes your reaction times worse is strictly false. Your body will obviously age and you can never return to your prime, but what shape you're in later in life is not set in stone.
>>730800578both, we had similar temperaments and his style was complimentary. but i also had a stressful childhood, grew up to fast, and didnt have the "phases" other children predictably went through.
>still doing static twitch reaction benchmarkreal gamers use millia blocker
>>730796323Hmm 420ms im a 40 year old boomer but i remembered being really average at CS and Unreal tournament even when i was 16.
>>730796504Even in comfy singleplayer games you can be at a disadvantage if you don't have fast enough reflexes. See Hollow Knight/Silksong, Sekiro, Necrodancer, Ninja Gaiden 4. You don't need to be playing multiplayer games to have vidya challenge you in some way or another
>>730796323Online reaction tests add a ton to your reaction times because of network and input delay.>>730796460It doesn't because you know you have to react well in advance which throws off your results. The only real test is in practice, in unpredictable situations, but those are hard to measure.
Read em and weap, girls. Im in my 40's.
