Are videogames a good brainwashing tool for children? Do you think playing DOOM or CoD from young age made people more desensitized to violence and war crimes?
>>730799843No
Are there any games in the Deep Web that's worth playing?
>>730799843Video games definitely carry narratological weight, and any artform capable of carrying a story can engender conflict. They aren't built to do this specifically, obviously Salvador Dali wasn't born to paint surrealist paintings, he just did. There is no link between being a quirky off-shoot and a successful drone, but the media seems to like paralleling them all the time.
You don't think America being involved in a 20-year long ideological conflict in the middle east played a bigger role there?Hell in the 90s the nightly news was all footage of Kosovo being blown to fucking bits
>>730799843Halo did more for recruiters than CoD ever did.
>>730799843Fucking wish it did. Imagine if all of the autistic kids wanted to be fast like sonic and start doing track and such. Imagine all of the fat nintendo fanboys doing 100 jumps per day to be somewhat closer to being like Mario, maybe climb up a flagpole or two as well. Hell a lot of them should learn how to swim and clean up places after playing Mario Sunshine, would be nice if they stink less places up. People get pissy because you can use a gun in GTA which also exist in reality LONG before GTA was ever even made as an IP. Yet you never hear stories of kids going into the woods searching for adventure because they play OoT and think such could be cool. The truth is the games that piss people off are the same games that represent reality that preexisted before the games. People hate awareness of how horrible the world is and can't accept that is simply how things are. YES in reality anyone at any moment can come up to you, point a gun and pull the trigger. They fear that and for good reason but not willing to admit the issue is in reality, it is a lot easier to try to cover it up instead by blaming games.
>>730799843I had a friend in high school that I'm 100% sure joined the army because of Battlefield.
>>730799843CoD absolutely got kids to recruit
No, they are not real. Video games are nothing like real life.
>>730799906>bread talking shit about kikes and their brainwashing tools>india immediately mentionedsaars, good marning, india numba 2 after great israel, we biggest allies!
>>730799843If you're retarded
>>730800036>>730800246>>730800256Feel sorry for a young adult joining expecting it to be like a video game just to find out right after boot camp it is mostly just waiting and sitting on your ass. Any action you will see will more likely be from mock battles than the real deal. Any "real fights" would be something like a mortar hitting near you and causing you be be fucked up. Never getting a chance to even shoot back. Frontline battles still happens for sure but rare for any one person to have a chance of "being a hero" like in the games. Army isn't all bad though, it will get you into shape and give you education options and perks. Totally not for everyone but I argue it is recommended if you live in a household that for one reason or another can't afford you a car on your 18th birthday.
>>730800693Covid annihilated military recruitment anyways. But yes, the military irl is boring and tedious as shit. I actually became more supportive of cutting the military's budget after enlisting, this shit is an enormous waste of tax money.
>>730800693Poverty has been the best recruitment tool since the 1800s.
>>730799843>Do you think playing DOOM or CoD from young age made people more desensitized to violence and war crimes? No, because young people can choose not to play those games. I've played Call of Duty, but I'm not a huge fan of shooters. In 2026, if I was forced to play a shooter, I would want to know>Why am I shooting these people?Like, I'll gladly play something like The Last of Us where you're fighting to stay alive. You don't become desensitised to anything, and the only thing that gets normalised is the will to live. If you watch footage of Counter Strike 2, it's not even a violent game. There's no blood, no people screaming in pain or begging for their lives. Gaming does not turn kids or anyone else into bad people.

>>730800794>I actually became more supportive of cutting the military's budget after enlisting, this shit is an enormous waste of tax money.I think most people will agree with that lol. The first thing people generally talk about when they get out is how ineffective the army is at everything. Care more about how well you are dressed than anything that actually matters. Want you to literally die from low blood sugar if it means you stay standing in line for hours on end just for the sake of looking good. Keep hearing the army is trying to be more softer and such but I'm sure they throwing money away just so recruits can deal with a baron that they didn't even want or ask for to this day.
>>730799843Yeah, I know this one kid in middle school who was obsessed with joining the military because of all the COD he played.
